There are a number of problems getting the Juniper Network Connect VPN client running on the Mac. The permissions on directories are not correct after install, there are issues with the 64 bit kernel, problems if VMWare or Parallels is installed, etc. These instructions are the result of research I did to get Network Connect 6.2.0 running on OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). If you have Network Connect installed already you should uninstall it completely.

Is there a way to download any newer version than the one on the device itself? I can download version 7.0R8 (build 19501)[7.0.0-19501(1620)] from the SA but would like to try a newer version for a Mac OS X client.
Pl login to the SSL box using admin level and go to system option under maintenance tab and find installer options there you can download the NC or pulse etc. with latest updates as per using IVE version.
The web based components (Host Checker, SAM, Network Connect) are version bound to the firmware running on the device. Even if you were to manually install a different version on the client, the user will just be upgraded/downgraded to the matching version when they login.
The standalone Pulse client is not version bound to the firmware on the device so you can install a newer version. Just be aware, some of the fixes/features in the Pulse client may be dependent on corresponding fixes/features in the SA/Mag firmware itself.
Im facing the problem as soon as i moved to new laptop (Win7). To connect to VPN it request to download the Network Conenct client...but fail to Ad-on in the browser (IE and Mozilla) and tell to check the Browser Security settings.
You will need to allow ActiveX or Java to properly download the client. If you have access to the admin web interface, you can download the installed from System > Installers. Once installed, you can launch from the standalone client in the Start > Programs.

The signals through the VPN session is encrypted by SSL. Therefore, you can safely establish a VPN session beyond the Internet. A VPN session is established by SoftEther VPN's "VPN over HTTPS" technology. It means that SoftEther VPN can create a VPN connection beyond any kinds of firewalls and NATs.
SoftEther VPN Server supports additional VPN protocols, including L2TP/IPsec, OpenVPN, Microsoft SSTP, L2TPv3 and EtherIP. These realizes the interoperability with built-in L2TP/IPsec VPN clients on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Mac OS X, and also with Cisco's VPN routers and other vendors VPN products.

Note: You will need an administrator password to complete the installation. As of July 22, 2022, the branding for the campus VPN client has changed from Pulse Secure (9.1rx) to Ivanti Secure Access (22.2Rx). All other aspects of the client are the same. Any reference to Pulse Secure should be interpreted as Ivanti Secure Access.
If you are using a Mac with an M1 chip, you'll need to install Rosetta2 prior to installing the Ivanti Secure Access client. Without this, your installation will silently fail. You can install Rosetta2 by opening a terminal and inputting the command '/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta'.
Step 2: Double-click the installer package to open it. You should see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the install window. If you receive a warning message from OS X Gatekeeper about not being able to open the package because it was not downloaded from the App Store, you will need to take a few extra steps.
Step 1: Open the Ivanti Secure Access application from the Applications folder. In the Ivanti Secure Access client window, click the Connect button inside the "UCSB Remote Access Trusted" connection profile or from the Ivanti Secure Access icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
Once you have provided a valid 2nd factor, your client will connect and the button should change to read "Disconnect." Click the arrow on the left to expand the status area - this will show the words "Status: Connected."
Since the divestiture the software can't be publicly distributed but has to be accessed via JTAC support for the versions that Juniper is allowed to provide to licensed users. You will need to open a case to get the downloads or convert to the new vendor NCP.
The current situation is problematic. I don't use SRX remote access but the pulse secure products so I can't say for certain. But I do know that each of the last three MacOS upgrades all required an upgrade of the pulse secure client to continue to function.
And after High Sierra launch there were reports on both Pulse forums and here of issues connecting to SRX with that client. It appears that both Pulse and Juniper feel the fix is with the other company. I am not certain there is a fix as I don't use the system and have not seen a post confirming a working setup.

Adding new protocols to OpenConnect is relatively simple, andadditional protocols have been added over the years since usingOpenConnect allows a developer to concentrate on the protocol itselfand most of the boring details about platform-specific tunnel managementand IP configuration, and handling of client SSL certificates, are alreadyresolved.
As TheGingerDog points out in the comments, if you're on a Mac, using apps downloaded from outside the App Store in OSX now requires that you set OSX to 'Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere' for it to run.
Pulse Secure and Network Connect client RPMs are available at the link above as well as a Quick Start Guide in PDF format. Another tested alternative for newer Linux distributions is OpenConnect ( ). A special switch is required for use with our VPN ( ).
Note: The FIPS client is required for specific security installations (JPL, NASA). Users connecting to such sites and PSI require to download the file with "fips" word on it. If connecting to PSI site only use the files without such "fips" word.
After the client program is installed on your local machine you do not need to install it again. Updates to the Pulse Secure client should happen automatically, but the latest stable client can also be found on Oort. 2ff7e9595c
